Roadmap

Delivered, in progress, planned. Nothing marked done that is not.

The eight milestones of the thesis, each with its deliverables and the condition that completes it. Statuses describe this repository and the configured network, not intentions.

Where things stand

0 completed3 in progress5 planned14 / 33 deliverables built

A mainnet beta first; production later.

Elysta deploys to Elysium mainnet at its launch as a beta that settles in Elysta Test USD, a token with no value. Phase 3, a production deployment with real collateral, stays a separate milestone: it needs the external security review, verified canonical collateral, a decentralised oracle and multisig administration, and this page will not show a date for it until those are done.

A deliverable is ticked only when it is built and verified in this repository. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are in progress at the same time because validation runs alongside delivery: the contracts have unit, fuzz and invariant campaigns already, while the deployment to a public Elysium network, gas benchmarks, load tests and an external security review are still open.

The eight milestones

Each card lists what the phase delivers and the one condition that completes it.

  1. Phase 1

    Complete testnet exchange

    In progress

Every essential trading, financial, risk and settlement function on Elysium testnet, with the terminal, indexer, API and WebSocket around it.

    Deliverables9 / 11
    • Done: Four protocol contracts: vault, registry and oracle, order book and matching, risk engine
    • Done: On-chain order book with price-time matching inside a bounded gas budget
    • Done: Limit, market, post-only, IOC, FOK and reduce-only orders; cancel and replace
    • Done: Collateral deposits and withdrawals with reserved and locked margin accounting
    • Done: Isolated margin, per-market leverage, mark price, funding, partial and full liquidation
    • Done: Insurance fund and documented loss waterfall
    • Done: Oracle adapters with freshness, deviation and reopening rules
    • Done: Reorg-aware indexer, REST API, WebSocket, market data and candles
    • Done: Trading terminal, market directory, portfolio, orders, history, vault
    • Not yet: Deployment to a public Elysium network
    • Not yet: Contract sources verified on the network's explorer

    Acceptance

Every essential trading workflow works end to end on testnet.

  2. Phase 2

    Testnet validation and hardening

    In progress

Unit, fuzz and invariant campaigns, adversarial oracle tests, gas benchmarks, indexer recovery and a security review.

    Deliverables4 / 7
    • Done: Unit tests for every contract function
    • Done: Invariant campaign over the whole exchange (vault equation, open interest, book integrity)
    • Done: Fuzz tests on quantities, prices and rounding
    • Not yet: Gas benchmarks on Elysium
    • Not yet: Load test of concurrent order placement and matching
    • Done: Indexer recovery and reorg replay tests
    • Not yet: External security review

    Acceptance

The complete testnet exchange passes documented technical and economic validation.

  3. Phase 3

    Mainnet deployment

    In progress

Production contracts, verified oracle configuration and collateral, controlled market activation, monitoring and incident procedures. Elysta goes live on Elysium mainnet at its launch as a beta that settles in test collateral; the production deployment with real collateral has no calendar date.

    Deliverables1 / 6
    • Done: Mainnet chain id and provider RPC from the official documentation, checked on chain before any deployment
    • Not yet: Mainnet beta deployed, settling in test collateral
    • Not yet: Controlled activation of markets once each has a valid index
    • Not yet: Mainnet explorer verification and canonical collateral confirmed
    • Not yet: Decentralised oracle integration replacing the keeper adapter
    • Not yet: Multisig and timelock administration

    Acceptance

Production contracts are deployed, verified and safely activated.

  4. Phase 4

    Advanced order execution

    Planned

Stop-market, stop-limit, take-profit and other conditional orders, TWAP execution and improved routing within Elysta's own markets.

    Deliverables0 / 2
    • Not yet: Conditional and trigger orders
    • Not yet: TWAP execution

    Acceptance

Advanced order types are specified, tested and enabled per market.

  5. Phase 5

    Advanced margin and risk

    Planned

Cross-margin, portfolio margin, better collateral efficiency and more sophisticated liquidation and backstop mechanisms.

    Deliverables0 / 3
    • Not yet: Cross-margin accounts
    • Not yet: Portfolio-level risk models
    • Not yet: Auto-deleveraging, separately specified and simulated before any activation

    Acceptance

New margin models are simulated, tested and reviewed before activation.

  6. Phase 6

    Market expansion

    Planned

Additional crypto, equity, commodity and index markets, each subject to oracle, licensing and risk validation.

    Deliverables0 / 1
    • Not yet: Market activation policy applied to every new listing

    Acceptance

Every new market passes the activation policy.

  7. Phase 7

    Developer and institutional infrastructure

    Planned

Public SDK, expanded API and WebSocket infrastructure, institutional tooling, reporting and a developer sandbox.

    Deliverables0 / 2
    • Not yet: TypeScript SDK
    • Not yet: Developer sandbox

    Acceptance

Integrators can build on documented, versioned interfaces.

  8. Phase 8

    Ecosystem expansion

    Planned

Elysium ecosystem integrations, additional collateral, governance if adopted, and approved liquidity partnerships.

    Deliverables0 / 1
    • Not yet: Governance process, if adopted

    Acceptance

Each expansion keeps the four-contract architecture and its state boundaries.

How statuses are decided

A roadmap is only useful if its ticks mean the same thing every time.

Completed
Every deliverable of the phase is built, tested and verified on the configured network, and its acceptance condition has been met. No phase is marked completed yet.
In progress
Work on the phase’s deliverables is underway in this repository. Individual deliverables are ticked as they are built and verified, not when they are started.
Planned
Specified in the thesis, not started. Planned phases carry no dates, and their deliverable lists summarise the specification rather than committing to a design.

The statuses are data in the application (apps/web/src/lib/roadmap.ts), reviewed with every change to the repository. The status page shows what is running at this moment, which is a different question from what is built.
